How it was made

    The task

    An in-house crowdfunded project by our production company—a festival-driven adaptation of a short story.

  2. 2

    The idea

    We transplanted the original story to present-day Moscow, giving the screenplay a major overhaul.

  3. 3

    Filming

    Due to the cast’s tight availability, shooting days had to be spread out over time, yet we managed to wrap everything strictly within the master production schedule.

  4. 4

    Postproduction

    All dialogue was re-recorded via studio ADR, while the editing, color grading, and sound design were crafted to heighten the story’s eerie, mystical undertone. The Result: Over 10 festival laurels worldwide, including the Best Short award at the Free Spirit Film Festival in Hawaii.
