Trailer for a stage production

How it was made

1. 1

   The task

One of Moscow’s best-known theatres commissioned a trailer for its flagship production. The brief: a large ensemble cast, fast-paced action, and a very limited shoot schedule.

2. 2

   The idea

After reviewing the source material, we aligned with the theatre on a “filmed stage play” aesthetic.

3. 3

   Shooting

Filming took place on the theatre’s stage, not in a studio or on found locations. We prepared storyboards, rehearsed with the cast, and had the lighting designer plan the stage lighting separately in advance. The project was delivered on time.

4. 4

   Editing

We cut and graded the piece in a cinematic style and delivered two alternate endings. Both went live on the client’s website.
